๐ DOES MONEY BUY HAPPINESS? ๐
In 2010 a study by a Nobel Prize winner said money could boost happiness up to earning of $75,000 and then would level off.
Recently, a new study conducted by the some of the same Nobel Prize economists suggest $500,000 earning per year is the new level of happiness.
Personally, I’d prefer 500K/year to 75K/year
Why?
๐ธ Daycare/Afterschool care is expensive
๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ง Family of 4
๐ Massachusetts is really expensive
๐ฑ Preference to eat whole, unprocessed foods
๐ฉบ Better medical care
๐ Ability to leave a legacy
Argument for 75K
๐ฐ Less Excess
๐งฎ Simpler taxes
๐ Appreciate what you have
๐กI’ve met people making 500K that are horrible with money and those making 75K that are diligent savers and are more careful with their financial decisions.
๐ Still, for me, I’d choose more as I believe with proper planning, it would help provide more opportunity to my children and (future) grandchildren.
๐ It doesn’t matter what your income is if you are not actively planning for your future, ideally with a real financial professional.
โ75K or 500K for you ๐คจ
